Coming from Lumberton, Texas, Ashley Peaster grew up with a family that is dominated by state champion wrestlers and track athletes. After dedicating a decade to soccer, she diverged from family tradition to carve her own path in music.

Ashley Peaster is currently advancing her expertise in music education as she pursues a Masters of Music (MM) in Trumpet Performance at the esteemed Wanda L. Bass School of Music at Oklahoma City University, under the mentorship of Professor Michael Anderson. With a Bachelor's degree from The School of Music at The University of Oklahoma (BME-Instrumental/General), Ashley is certified by the state of Oklahoma to teach general music and instrumental instruction spanning kindergarten to 12th grade.

Demonstrating her commitment to music education, Ashley conducts private trumpet lessons for students throughout the OKC metro area, employing a diverse range of teaching methods tailored to individual learning styles. She advocates for student-centered instruction, ensuring each learner receives personalized support and progresses at their own pace.

During her student teaching tenure at Norman High School and Alcott Middle School in Norman, Oklahoma, Ashley demonstrated exceptional teaching prowess, serving as the primary instructor for oboe and saxophone in the beginning band program. Additionally, she provided one-on-one guidance in music theory and conducted the Norman High School Wind Ensemble at their Mid-Winter Concert, garnering recognition for her impactful contributions to the program.

Ashley's dedication to music education extends beyond instrumental instruction as evidenced by her teaching experience at Prairie View Elementary in Mustang, Oklahoma. There, she adeptly introduced young students to the world of music, teaching general music to grades K-4. Notably, Ashley focused on nurturing fundamental skills such as rhythm comprehension and vocal development, while also providing specialized instruction in ukulele for 3rd and 4th graders.
